With the government announcing
tax cut for motorcycles between 200-400cc
through the budget of the upcoming fiscal year, the BS6 Bajaj Dominar 400 has received a significant price cut of Rs 60,000. The Dominar 400 which was priced at Rs 6,59,900 earlier will now be available at Rs 5,99,900, effective from June 1, 2023.The BS6 Bajaj Dominar 400 is powered by a 373.3cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve, DOHC, FI engine. The engine which churns out 39.4 bhp of maximum power and 35Nm of peak torque is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The BS6 Dominar 400 comes equipped with factory-fitted standard accessories like a tall visor, handguards, engine bash plate, leg guard, carrier + back stopper, navigation stay, USB port, etc.The Dominar sits on a beam-type perimeter frame. It has 43mm upside-down forks with 135mm of travel up front and an adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Similarly, braking duties are carried out by disc brakes on both wheels with dual-channel ABS. The 17-inch alloy wheels are shod with a 110/70-17 tyre up front and a 150/60-17 unit at the rear. The Dominar 400 is available in two color options- Aurora Green and Charcoal Black.The excise duty on motorcycles between 250cc-400cc has been reduced through the new budget. The excise duty on this segment was up to 90 percent earlier, but now it will be only 70 percent. Moreover, for motorcycles assembled in Nepal, the excise duty has been fixed at 30 percent. Similarly, the road construction fee has been reduced from Rs 50,000 to Rs 20,000.
